A simple yet flavorful dish of sautéed mushrooms and garlic, capturing the essence of home-cooked meals.

Ingredients

  • Fresh mushrooms (oyster or shiitake recommended)
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter (or olive oil)
  • Fresh herbs (thyme or parsley)
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Optional: splash of white wine

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients: Clean the mushrooms and slice them; mince the garlic and chop your herbs.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and melt the butter until bubbly.
  3. Add sliced mushrooms to the pan, stirring occasionally, and cook for 5-7 minutes until golden brown and tender.
  4. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for about a minute, making sure it doesn’t burn.
  5. Season with salt, pepper, and fresh herbs, mixing well for 2 minutes.
  6. Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with additional herbs if desired. Enjoy warm!

Notes

Do not overcrowd the pan for optimal caramelization. Adjust seasoning according to taste.
