A comforting and flavorful noodle dish infused with garlic and topped with nutty Parmesan cheese.

Ingredients

  • Spaghetti, fettuccine, or egg noodles
  • Unsalted butter
  • Fresh garlic cloves, minced
  • Freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley or basil, chopped

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the noodles and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve about a cup of pasta water when draining.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until golden and fragrant.
  3. Add the cooked noodles to the skillet. Toss them in the garlic butter, ensuring every strand is coated.
  4. Sprinkle in the grated Parmesan and a splash of reserved pasta water to create a sauce. Stir until the cheese melts and coats the noodles.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper. Toss in fresh herbs if desired.
  6. Plate the noodles, topping with more Parmesan and a drizzle of olive oil or melted butter, if desired.
